I haven’t listened to the radio in years. From the moment we all got iPods and could download music, who wanted to listen to the radio. And radio shows?! Only people in their 60’s listened to the a.m. band.

I don’t know how I stumbled on this radio show from WNYC but I’m addicted to Radio Lab. These hour long radio shows cover topics from Morality, the after life and choice in a was that’s interesting and entertaining. They also put out a podcast that has tons for shorts for extra listening. If your at work and need something great to listen to, I highly recommend Radio Lab.

The Take Away Shows

I might be very late to discover this site, but its amazing! So many artist just walking around Paris playing amazing acoustic shows. Go to the site and find one of your favorite artist. My favorite so far is Patrick Watson and Phoenix. Gets me very stoked for Sasquatch!

Calgary

The lack of blog post over the last couple of months is embarrassing! I need to keep this stuff up to date. Lots has happened.

The move to Kamloops was fun, snowboarding almost 4 days a week was great. But by the end of the season, I didn’t have anything to show for it. I fell out of my regular work routine and needed to find a ‘dream job’. It was time to pick up and move again. Thanks to my friend James Barry, I landed a job at Critical Mass in Calgary.

I’ve been here for 3 weeks now, still trying to work out a place to live, but the job is amazing and I can’t wait to get to know this city better. The downtown core is pretty amazing with lots of cool restaurants and bars that I’ve never been too. I missed being in a real city.

I’ve been a fan of Jim Carrey for a long time now. I’m a bigger fan now that I’ve stumbled across his personal website. Not only is the design amazing, the flash animations funny and unexpected but the whole website gives off Jims’ personality so well. Maybe one of the most impressive sites I’ve ever visited. Kamloops

This October, I made the move out to Kamloops. I’ll miss all the good friends and family in Edmonton but I felt like this was something I really needed to do. I’m looking forward to the snowboard season at Sun Peaks, meeting a ton of new people and, hopefully, some rad new projects to work on.

I really love photography but don’t have the money to invest in a huge SLR set up. I’m jealous of friends that do. When I saw a blog post about this beauty I knew It was something I needed to pick up. By far the best camera I’ve used, the auto settings and metering are fantastic.

I took a trip to hornby island last week and here’s a couple shots from the trip.

The Art of Being a Bastard

My brother and a couple of his friends have written and produced a play called “The Art of Being a Bastard.” Its about a group of guys who try and become bastards to get ahead in life. He’s already had successful shows in Toronto and Winnipeg Fringe festivals, both festivals gave it great reviews.
